Prospective Students

Regent Business School was established in direct response to a need for people in full-time or part-time employ, and for those living far away from educational institutions, to further their qualifications. Every year Regent gives students, both school-leavers and mature students, the opportunity to further their careers.

Once your career choice is made, you need to give careful consideration as to how to enhance your career prospects. Making the choice to study is a bold, rewarding decision and a business management qualification is essential for career development in any field. Acquiring academic knowledge and business management skills often means that you will have a distinct advantage in your career development.

Regent’s slogan “Taking the distance out of distance learning” is essential to our ethos. Distance from universities, the need to work while you study should never be impediments to your abilities and desire to further your career. Neither should limited funds. By delivering cost-effective, quality assured study programmes, Regent Business School aims to meaningfully contribute to the development of management capacity and thereby strengthen the growth and the managerial skills of those working in business and governmental institutions in Southern Africa. We realise that South Africa, as well as the Southern African region, grapple with enormous skill shortages, especially in managerial skills across all sectors of the economy.

Our students are scattered over the whole of South Africa. A significant proportion is even located in countries from over our borders. All of them study in their own surroundings, at times which best suits their needs, with the flexibility to continue with their lives while they study. At Regent, we have geared our delivery structure to make achievement in your studies possible even when the obstacles seem insurmountable.

Regent Business School offers a choice of career-oriented management qualifications that ranges from a CIBM (Certificate in Business Management), a DHRM (Diploma in Human Resource Management), a BCom (Bachelor of Commerce degree) to our flagship MBA (Master of Business Administration) degree. Short courses in subjects with current business relevance are also offered. We endeavour with these, along with our alumni services, to provide a postgraduate connection with new and past students, and to provide business professionals with a means of updating their knowledge base.
