REGENT Business School holds a prestigious graduation ceremony each year to honour the graduates, recipients of qualifications from Regent. For the first time since inception REGENT hosted a mid-year graduation. | | 
| | The 2012 graduation was held on 30 June, at the Elangeni Hotel in Durban, home to a year-round tropical climate, and a stone’s throw from REGENT’s Beach Campus.
Awards, which included Undergraduate certificates, diplomas and degrees, as well as Postgraduate Honours and Master degrees, were conferred on a total of 124 students.
The opening address on behalf of REGENT was made by Prof Dhiru Soni, who welcomed the graduants into an elite society of knowledge. He challenged them to critically question their new roles and how they would make a difference in the new globalised economy. | | 
| The guest speaker for the occasion was the Honourable Malusi Gigaba, Minister of Public Enterprises. He was accompanied by recently appointed Deputy Minister of Public Enterprises, Mr Bulelani Magwanishe, who graduated with an MBA from REGENT Business School in 2007. | | | In addition to the qualifications, awards were conferred upon the best students from each programme.

| REGENT Alumnus Martin Lebenya then welcomed the graduates into the Alumni Association, and impressed upon them the importance of being brand ambassadors of REGENT. | | | This was followed by an inspirational Valediction speech from Izekiel Nohumba. He graduated with an MBA, with distinctions in four subjects.
The event was concluded with a rousing rendition of the National Anthem by the REGENT choir. | |
